Weller 12 sits with Weller Special Reserve and Old Weller Antique as the typical bourbon drinkers best shot at experiencing one of the more famous bourbons ever. Sharing a recipe with the vauted Pappy Van Winkle and William Larue Weller whiskies, Weller 12 used to be a daily drinker for anyone who enjoyed wheated bourbon. Alas, these days Weller 12 is hard to find and nearly impossible to find at its sub-$40 retail price. It's a heck of a wheater at 90 proof and I suggest that you don't pass it up if you have the opportunity. I know I won't.
