Back to the Bottle - Wild Turkey Master's Keep Cornerstone Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey
These special releases from Wild Turkey don't seem to get much love outside of hardcore Wild Turkey fans. I haven't had them all - only because I haven't been able to find them all - but I've enjoyed those I've gotten to taste.
In the case of Cornerstone, I wondered if it could really be worth more to me than other Wild Turkey produced rye whiskey such as Russell's Reserve Single Barrel Rye. In that example, we're talking $100 more! Cornerstone is real good but it isn't a $100 premium and hard to find good.
As always, I'm glad I tried more Wild Turkey/Russell's Reserve whiskey but I would most certainly stick with Russell's rye going forward. As good as this Cornerstone rye is, it just isn't worth the premium given the alternatives that come from the same stills. Cheers!
