There was no stream last week as my wife and I drove from Colorado to Birmingham, AL to reunite our daughter and son-in-law with their cats and the last few belongings left at our house when they recently moved back home. We didn't care so much for the route there so we changed things up for the return trip which meant we were able to spend some time with a great supporter of the channel, Larry, and have the time to drop into a Tennessee distillery I've been anxious to try out, Leiper's Fork. I bought their Bottled In Bond, heated bourbon, and Bottled In Bond Tennessee whiskey so we'll get into at least one of those today.
My wife was in COSTCO this week and picked up a 19-year-old Speyside Single Malt Scotch for $68. I've never tried the Kirkland spirits so we'll give it a go. Well-aged Scotch from the actual producers would be 3 to 4 times the cost so I guess we'll see if we get what we paid for or if we get more with this independent bottling.
Finally, well I say finally, we never really know what's going to happen until it happens, we'll revisit the Buffalo Trace Koscher Rye we opened a couple of Fridays ago. I've enjoyed it but I do have some thoughts. Let's see what Dan thinks after not having had a sip since we opened it.
