We open up Kentucky Owl's Confiscated Bourbon Whiskey. This is Kentucky Owl's first widely released bourbon and I had high hopes for it but found it to be too dry for my tastes with too much bitter oak lingering for a long time. It has certainly opened up over the last couple of weeks so I'll continue to work on it. I remain a fan of Kentucky Owl Bourbon and Rye whiskeys even if Confiscated isn't exactly the style of bourbon that I enjoy.
