Open the Bottle: Leiper's Fork Distillery Bottled In Bond 4-Year Old Bourbon Whiskey
On a recent trip back to Alabama from Colorado, a last-minute change of plans put me in close proximity to a distillery I've been wanting to learn more about, Leiper's Fork Distillery. We had a long drive ahead of us so there wasn't time to take the tour but we did get to look around, see the big copper pot still, smell the smells of a working distillery, and pick up two bottles in the gift shop. Both were a bit pricey at $85, both four years old, and Bottled In Bond - a Tennessee whiskey and a bourbon.
We opened up the bourbon and it was pretty good. Let's see how this Tennessee whiskey expression tastes.
